Annet Mahendru
Mahendru, a Russian-Indian mother was born in Afghanistan. She speaks fluent German, Russian and English in addition to French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru was born to an Indian father as well as an Indian father and a Russian mother. In her early teens, she choreographed an act that earned her a slot on German TV as a graceful Russian snow maiden that turns into a playful Indian dancer. Her high school graduation was with a degree in New York and received a bachelor of Arts in English at St. John's University. After school she took acting classes in the HB studio but the quit to pursue improvisation classes with The Groundlings School taking on several comedy shows afterward. She was born in Kabul Afghanistan to a Hindu-Indian father Ghanshan Ken Mahendru, and a Russian mom Olga. When she was just 13 her parents divorced. Her father relocated the family members to East Meadow New York. She is best known as the former KGB Agent Nina Sergeevna Krilova in FX's The Americans. Her role was a regular one on Fox's The Following and NBC's The Blacklist.
